In this episode of The Placemakers we explore the role of placemaking in the emergence of Circular Quay as one of the world’s great city waterfronts.

Then we tour the newly completed Quay Quarter Sydney, a super premium $3 billion precinct located on Sydney Harbor at Circular Quay which features the world’s most sustainable office tower.

The Quay Quarter office tower delivers 90,000 square meters of premium grade space in a world first, large scale adaptive re-use project that has conserved over 12000 tonnes of embodied carbon and improved stakeholder returns by reducing construction time and doubling leasable floor space.

The development has also renewed a heritage CBD neighborhood and delivers one acres of new green spaces, public lane ways and character filled retail and residential experiences that celebrate the unique heritage of the area.
Quay Quarter Tower was developed by AMP Capital on behalf of its investors, designed by Danish Architects 3XN/GXN, built by Multiplex and features interiors by Tom Dixon and public artworks by Olafur Eliasson and Jonathon Jones….
