South Beach: Singapore

For business people visiting or relocating to Singapore, South Beach is a must see destination.
Here, City Developments Limited and IOI Group have created a pristine example of sustainable urban regeneration within the Singaporean vision of a city within a garden.
South Beach is a 376,000 square feet integrated eco-precinct containing Grade A office space, 190 luxury residences, a 634 room designer JB Marriott hotel and around 30,000 square feet of premium retail space.
It’s award winning sustainability strategy is based on a light-filled green spine that weaves through the site connecting the towers, retail areas and the MRT station. These public spaces are covered by an innovative canopy that harvests renewable energy, collects rainwater and delivers a comfortable all day microclimate by filtering sunlight and channelling breezes.
Recycled water sustains the site’s multiple sky and ground gardens which reduce heat and improve air quality. Electricity from solar is used to power the lights at night and saves 30% energy every year.
South Beach was completed in 2014, holds the FIABCI and BCA Green Mark awards and numerous others including Best Mixed-use Architecture Singapore from Asia Pacific Property Awards 2016.
